In the health sector we help fund hospital operators, as part of our finance initiative targeting investment in hospitals.
Urban renewal
In the new German federal states, the demand for living space has metamorphosed dramatically. Higher expectations with regard to living conditions, combined with a falling population, mean that many apartments are standing empty. Local authorities are facing a complex and daunting task: to adapt to these new conditions and requirements by renewing inner-city areas so that they have a genuine future, and by dismantling unneeded accommodation. The federal and state funded “Urban Renewal East” program is intended to meet the needs of struggling public-sector institutions.
