To boost new businesses and give new impetus to existing companies based in or operating from Saxony, we provide grants, subsidies and low-interest loans; we act as guarantors and underwriters; we provide equity capital for investment and capital purchases; we open up channels for accessing new markets and new international opportunities; we provide business advice and consulting services; we support environmental improvement projects, and we promote joint ventures. And we’re always ready to investigate new or better ways of doing things in consultation with business owners or entrepreneurs!
New technologies and product innovations are crucial to the success of Saxony’s economy. By making Saxony more competitive, they create new jobs and stabilize our existing workforce. Which is why we give such a high priority to research and development. Our programs for research and development focus on technologies of the future that clearly have enormous scope for further development in Saxony and promise to open up new growth markets.
75% of the funding by which these programs are financed is provided by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF). The remaining 25% comes from state funding.
